More Information: There is an immigration record of a John A Brice (born about 1890) arriving in Quebec City, Canada on The Tunisian, October 1906. The only problem with this record is that it states he was born in England. This might have been incorrectly stated because he sailed from England. Serjeant in the 55th Canadian Infantry Battalion. Joined the P.P.C.L.I. in the field 18 September 1916. Wounded 28 September 1918. Struck off strength 20 October 1918 (Cadet). Awarded Meritorious Service Medal for successfully establishing a Block in the enemy's trench September 1917 on the St. Pierre Front. |
